Currently en República Dominicana — 20 de septiembre: Vaguada con más lluvias en las próximas 24 horas

El panorama meteorológico en República Dominicana seguirá dominada por la influencia de la vaguada en combinación con Los vientos húmedos del Mar Caribe y las temperaturas calurosas de la región caribeña.

Estos factores atmosféricos aportarán precipitaciones entre moderadas y fuertes para este miércoles en la tarde hacia la Cordillera Central, noreste, noroeste, zona fronteriza y sur del territorio dominicano.

Junto a las lluvias también ocurrirán descargas eléctricas y algunas ráfagas de viento. El elemento más destacado en nuestra región caribeña serán las temperaturas muy calurosas a pesar de encontrarnos en la fase final del verano en el hemisferio norte.

There was a spectacular display of northern lights — aurora borealis — on Tuesday, caused by a direct hit from particles sent Earthward from a solar explosion.

We’re in the middle of a multi-year peak of activity on the sun, so northern lights should be more common than in previous years. And the best time to see them is during the fall and winter, when the temperatures aren’t yet too cold, and the nights are getting nice and long.

One of my favorite websites, spaceweather.com, will keep you up-to-date on upcoming chances to see the aurora.
